Student Energy Project is designed to reward students for reducing their energy consumption, by making small changes to their daily routine. Students are able to track and compare their usage against recommended usage and also what they had previously on a day-to-day, weekly and month time period.
On average consumption savings of 8 – 27% has been realised across participating sites.
The TSEP team came to use with a concept which we worked through with them iteratively to arrive at the design that they felt embodied the companies values and ambitions. We we’re given branding and marketing guidelines which had been created by an external agency which reflected the target audience, and used these to create visual concepts for the student area of the site. Along with the backend of the site, we have also helped TSEP create promotional games and scavenger hunts for the website.
The Student Energy Project is built using the Laravel framework with the data being stored in MySQL, the system also has real time integration with multiple smart meters across the country pulling in meter reads and award points to students based upon their energy usage against a predicted consumption profile.
Our team developed a turn key solution including reports, dashboard, authentication and award systems.
