We’re Hiring!

PHP Developer – Laravel.

Location.

Remote UK Only

The Role.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a talented PHP developer who’s experienced working with Laravel. You’ll have full stack skills with an emphasis on back end development and want to be a significant part of a close-knit, collaborative team that loves working together to build incredible products for clients.

You write great code with experience of back end development and an evidenced track record of high quality work on projects.

You’re enthusiastic about tech and love keeping up with the latest trends. You’re keen to learn new languages and frameworks if the need arises and you aren’t afraid of jumping into the deep end to get things done.

We primarily code in PHP and JavaScript and an understanding of object oriented code is essential. Having experience with MVC frameworks (we love Laravel) and tools like Composer is also a must.

What will the role involve?

You will be working with Laravel on a daily basis and will help to develop ideas, design database schema and help estimate and plan out projects with clients. We maintain a lot of applications, so it’s very important to us that we maintain a high quality of code. This means testing (TDD approach and mindset is a necessity), linting and static analysis. You will learn to love PHPStan, we promise. 😉

We are constantly improving so a fresh pair of eyes is always welcome, so we’d welcome any ideas for better ways of working that will improve processes for everyone.
We’re always trying out new technologies to see how they fit with our style, and incorporating them to make applications we build better so keeping abreast of new things happening in the PHP community is key.

We like to get involved in the local community so we’re looking for someone who’s keen to join in on those activities. We set aside time each month to work on these internal projects and tools.and have a stack of ideas we want to develop and we’d welcome yours too.

There may be occasions when we encourage you to visit our Birmingham Jewellery Quarter based office for client and team meetings where necessary. The role is UK remote-based for this reason. The office will be made accessible to those who do not wish to work from home all of the time and would like the occasional change of scenery.
